Xiaomi is centainly the biggest smartphone maker in the country and it appears the company is in no mood to let the COVID-19 pandemic take that tag away from it. The Xiaomi has now come up with an innovative platform that could help it to maintain high sales volumes of phones and other gadgets even in these coronavirus time.

Xiaomi has launched its offline-to-online solution called Mi Commerce in India to help retailers. Mi Commerce is designed as a ‘product discovery platform’ on which Xiaomi exclusive stores will be able to showcase their products they have in stock. Additionally, Xiaomi has planned a working capital loan for all its offline retail partners. The company has also announced a service discount specifically for all frontline and police personnel. The platform will also allow buyers to connect with Xiaomi stores around them and place orders online for smartphones, gadgets and smart TVs.

After placing orders, the platform will facilitate ‘contactless’ delivery to the buyer with the safety in mind. The payment for these orders will be made using UPI-based solutions with the delivery of orders being handled by the retailers themselves. It is the new type of initiative to beat the all other product brand of the other companies.

We understand this and want to support all our 10,000 retail partners, especially all the exclusive retail partners such as Mi Home, Mi Stores, and Mi Studios. For them, we are building this O2O solution,” said Xiaomi India Managing Director. The platform will help buyers adhere to social distancing guidelines without having to give up on buying their loving Xaiomi gadgets in the coming months.
